                                         Van Allen Radiation Belt

A Van Allen radiation belt is a zone of energetic charged particles, most of which originate from the solar wind, that are captured by and held around a planet by that planet's magnetic field. Earth has two such belts and sometimes others may be temporarily created. The discovery of the belts is credited to James Van Allen, and as a result, Earth's belts are known as the Van Allen belts. Earth's two main belts extend from an altitude of about 640 to 58,000 km (400 to 36,040 mi) above the surface in which region radiation levels vary. Most of the particles that form the belts are thought to come from solar wind and other particles by cosmic rays. By trapping the solar wind, the magnetic field deflects those energetic particles and protects the atmosphere from destruction.

                                                 Magnetosphere

Fortunately for us, Earth’s natural protections block all but the most energetic of these particles from reaching the surface. A huge magnetic bubble, called the magnetosphere, which deflects the vast majority of these particles, protects our planet. And our atmosphere subsequently absorbs the majority of particles that do make it through this bubble.

Latest News:-  Scientists have now provided proof that even Galaxies have a protective field around them which deflects and even destroys objects that enter this field, apparently this enables new stars to be produced inside the Galaxy without damage or interference from outside.  The discovery is reported in a new paper, ‘Observations of a Magellanic Corona’, published in the journal Nature. Importantly, since the International Space Station (ISS) is in low-Earth orbit within the magnetosphere, it also provides a large measure of protection for our astronauts.

Is it reasonable to think this protection that ultimately stops the Universe and all life on Earth from being destroyed was an act of pure chance, or can you see the hand of a creator that cares about our safety?
