Science and Truth

                                      Some Thinking Scientists

Evolutionists past and present comment on the origin of life

“The hypothesis that life has developed from inorganic matter is, at present, still an article of faith.” — Mathematician J. W. N. Sullivan.

“The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing shop.” — Biologist Edwin Conklin.

“One has only to contemplate the magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible.” — Biochemist George Wald.

                                                                     Honesty is needed

“An honest man, armed with all the knowledge available to us now, could only state that in some sense, the origin of life appears at the moment to be almost a miracle.” — Biologist Francis Crick.

“If one is not prejudiced either by social beliefs or by a scientific training into the conviction that life originated [spontaneously] on the Earth, this simple calculation [the mathematical odds against it] wipes the idea entirely out of court.” — Astronomers Fred Hoyle and N. C. Wickramasinghe.

Several competing hypotheses have been proposed over the decades and today the field is highly polarised. Scientists disagree about which chemical components of life came first, which of life's processes came first, and where on Earth life first arose. Even the timing… of life's origin is in question. In other words, scientists have no idea how life originated on this planet, they are completely in the dark - But the Bible tells us clearly where life came from!

                                                            This article is mind blowing

*** Newsweek magazine uses an illustration to give an idea of the cell’s activities: “Each of those 100 trillion cells functions like a walled city. Power plants generate the cell’s energy. Factories produce proteins, vital units of chemical commerce. Complex transportation systems guide specific chemicals from point to point within the cell and beyond. Sentries at the barricades control the export and import markets, and monitor the outside world for signs of danger. Disciplined biological armies stand ready to grapple with invaders. A centralised genetic government maintains order.”

*** Commenting on the article above: The complexity of a single cell is absolutely incredible, to say or even to think that this marvel came about by accident is an insult to logical thinking. Even an ordinary non scientific individual can see that a vastly more intelligent being having superior knowledge, awesome wisdom and infinite power has created this and all life on this planet including the Universe we are a part of, no other explanation for where we came from is even remotely sensible!

                                                                  Accepting the Truth

Not all scientists, however, have closed the door on the alternative. For example,   physicist H. S. Lipson,   realising the odds against a spontaneous origin for life, said: “The only acceptable explanation is creation. I know that this is anathema to physicists, as indeed it is to me, but we must not reject a theory that we do not like if the experimental evidence supports it.” He further observed that after Darwin’s book, The Origin of Species, “evolution became in a sense a scientific religion; almost all scientists have accepted it and many are prepared to ‘bend’ their observations to fit in with it.” A sad but true commentary.

Chandra Wickramasinghe, professor at University College, Cardiff, said: “From my earliest training as a scientist I was very strongly brainwashed to believe that science cannot be consistent with any kind of deliberate creation. That notion has had to be very painfully shed. I am quite uncomfortable in the situation, the state of mind I now find myself in. But there is no logical way out of it. . . . For life to have been a chemical accident on earth is like looking for a particular grain of sand on all the beaches in all the planets in the universe — and finding it.” In other words, it is just not possible that life could have originated from a chemical accident. So Wickramasinghe concludes: “There is no other way in which we can understand the precise ordering of the chemicals of life except to invoke the creations on a cosmic scale.”

2 Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4:-  4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

Many scientists including astronomers, biologists and even former evolutionists are openly advocating creation as the only answer that supports the evidence for why the Universe and all life in it came into being. As for the theory of Evolution there is no evidence that can be corroborated to show that this purely speculative long held idea that has not even an ounce of proof to back it up, should be for any thinking person  thrown out of court where it belongs into the rubbish bin of wishful thinking!
