The Creator Exists!

                                            Uncontrolled Anger.

Dictionary Definition:-   A strong emotion; a feeling that is oriented toward some real or supposed grievance.

Have you ever been angry to the point of loosing control either verbally or physically? If you think back to your childhood or teen years, you may remember times when anger could flare up easily, and there could have been consequences such as hurtful language or even physical confrontations. But as you got older, your control over your anger should have become more manageable, thankfully most of us learn as we mature that anger of that sort is unacceptable, but for some, they never learn to control their built in anger. But Jehovah is not a human being, his anger is totally different to ours in every possible way:

                                                                        Controlled Anger.

God’s Anger:   His anger is always justified, being based on principle dictated by his right to exclusive devotion and his constancy in upholding truth; it is governed by his love for righteousness and for those practising righteousness. Divine anger does not stem from a momentary whim, to be later regretted. Jehovah sees all the issues involved in a matter and has complete, entire knowledge of a situation. He reads the heart; he notes the degree of ignorance, negligence, or wilful sin; and he acts with impartiality.

Hebrews chapter 4 verse 13:-   13 And there is not a creation that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of the one to whom we must give an account.

Man's Anger:   Uncontrolled anger is a very dangerous emotion that can cause us to make catastrophic decisions that lead to serious spiritual harm to ourselves and others, and destroy our relationship with our God Jehovah! This type of anger cannot be tolerated by Jehovah because it is self destructive and overrides any self control we may have had before we became angry!

1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 8:-   8 So I desire that in every place the men carry on prayer, lifting up loyal hands, without anger and debates.

                                                             Righteous or Unrighteous?

The consequences of uncontrolled anger can even lead to the death of other human beings:-   Those in attendance at the synagogue in Nazareth, aroused to anger by Jesus’ preaching, endeavoured to hurl him from the brow of a mountain.  — Lu 4:28, 29:   And angered religious leaders “rushed upon [Stephen] with one accord” and stoned him to death.  — Ac 7:54-60.

Even we as Christians can be come angry over a matter that is wrong in our own eyes, and many of the situations we hear of happening in the world today can make us angry - This type of anger has some justification, but only as long as we do not let it control our actions so that we sin against our God. The result of not controlling our anger is shown in the scriptures below:

                                                               Jehovah Will Repay!

Jonah chapter 4 verse 1:-   1 But this was highly displeasing to Jo'nah, and he became hot with anger.

Jehovah had decided that the people of Nineveh repented of their wicked ways, and showed that they feared God's judgement, but Jonah was angry, he would have been happy to see the city destroyed and thousands of people killed because his anger blinded his mind to the thought of mercy! Jehovah then corrected Jonah's thinking and taught him a lesson about forgiveness.

Genesis chapter 4 verse 5:-   5 he did not look with any favour on Cain and on his offering. So Cain grew hot with anger and was dejected.

Cain acted in a very different way, loosing control and ended up killing his brother Abel out of jealousy, even though Jehovah tried to help him correct his thinking, this uncontrolled anger led to the death of his brother Abel.

1 Samuel chapter 18 verse 11:-   11 and he hurled the spear, saying to himself: ‘I will pin David to the wall!’ But David escaped from him twice.

Saul the King of Israel was afraid of David, because Jehovah was with him and had rejected Saul. He tried on several occasions to kill David, but Jehovah kept him safe!

This is what uncontrolled anger can do! It is almost impossible to think clearly under it's influence, and it can cause irreparable harm to you and others. There is no place for this type of anger however justified it may be in Jehovah's service. We all need to be aware that we can become angry, but we also need to control the anger and not let it control us! Never forget the power of prayer as it will help us make the right decisions in life!
